This is a REQUIRED students-only practice and specification check session.Teams will have an official specification review when they check in for their scheduled practice session. Images will be taken of their device to ensure no team has altered the device post-inspection. Students must notify judges of any changes post-inspection. After this inspection, students from each state will have a scheduled 25 minutes to practice. Middle and high school teams from the same state will share the room. No teachers/advisors/chaperones will be allowed in the room. No other states may interfere during dedicated testing times. This time is an opportunity for students to fine tune their devices after shipping and is not meant to be 'exactly' like the actual competition. However, lead judges will be in attendance to provide supervision and answer any questions.
Students will present according to Competition Rules. During a scheduled time, only that state may enter the oral presentation room. The students have final authority as to who may accompany them in the room. Volunteer staff will comply with the wishes of the students only. Students should wear their National Competition Shirts during the Oral Presentation. Each team will have 10 minutes to present, and judges will have an additional 5 minutes to ask questions to the team. Immediately following their presentation, students will take team pictures and participate in a short online evaluation.
